Summerside is located in Jackson, a relatively new neighbourhood in the south-east end of London, Ontario. The area is largely residential but has a few shops and grocery stores on Commissioners Road. The majority of the homes in the Summerside area are single-family detached homes.

The Summerside area is filled with multiple outdoor and recreational areas including Carroll Park, Meadowgate Park, and Meadowlily Woods. There are also many hiking trails, playgrounds, and sports fields in the area for Londoners to enjoy.

It was recently announced by the Thames Valley District School Board that they have received approval for the construction of a new elementary school in Summerside. This will be one of the two new schools that have been approved to be built in the London area.
